Ent-r-e-novators 2025: 1. Licensing and Open Licensing
This badge certifies that the recipient has successfully completed the requirements and earned the certificate of the E³UDRES² – Ent-r-e-novators Licensing and Open Licensing course, part of the Foundations for Open Education, Open Access, Open Science, Open Innovation OE/OA/OS/OI E³UDRES² – Ent-r-e-novators training programme at intermediate level. Learning Objectives: This Course aims to offer an overview of regulations, copyright legislation and open licensing possibilities in science and education in particular. The module develop the understanding of current international and European legislation surrounding the protection of data and of copyright laws. Competencies: In line with the Digital competencies based on DigComp 2.2, this course contribute to the Digital Safety competency. Outcomes: On completion of this course, participants will be able to: - Describe the principles and terms of copyright legislation; - Define your rights as a user or creator of Creative Commons; - Understand the concepts of open source; - Choose an appropriate license for your work and evaluate the possibility of reusing others' works depending on their licenses; - Understand different open source tools; - Define the open and free movement; - Describe open practices. Activities: Learners understand the fundamentals of licensing and intellectual property rights, identify and differentiate between various types of open licences, apply open licences to digital content, educational resources, and research outputs, evaluate the implications of licensing choices on accessibility, use, and distribution of content. This course is considered of 5 hours of learning activities and finalised with an online quiz . The activities are conducted online. This certificate is validated by Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania, as part of the E³UDRES² – Ent-r-e-novators to acknowledge the successful completion of required criteria for intermediate level training.
