Please include your contact information and research department.   								\n				\n									Join us for an interactive workshop for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers exploring the changing role of the instructor in contemporary higher education. Titled “The Brain-Savvy Teacher\,” this session focuses on the growing pressure placed on instructors to adapt their teaching to increasingly culturally diverse and dynamic student populations. Participants will reflect on the demands of developing a culture-reflexive and student-centered teaching approach and the considerable effort this often requires. More importantly though\, the workshop addresses a vital and frequently overlooked question: What are the limits of adapting in teaching? Drawing on insights into how the human mind works\, we will examine where teachers can meaningfully influence learning processes—and where resistance is likely\, making further investment of effort ineffective or even counterproductive. The workshop provides space to exchange teaching experiences and challenges and to develop practical strategies that balance adaptation in teaching with self-care and realistic expectations.
