My main interest lies in inclusion and special needs education (SEN) in vocational education. My work has focused on examining the role of SEN teachers and the development of special needs education in both youth and adult vocational education. More recently, we have launched a new project that explores special support services and the work of SEN teachers in universities of applied sciences.
I am also interested in the social inclusion and exclusion of individuals with functional limitations or disabilities. In addition, one of my research interests is preparatory education for programmes leading to an upper secondary qualification and its role in supporting students' educational pathways and participation in society.
