My skills and expertise combine applied research, interdisciplinary project management, research administration, funding acquisition and the development and evaluation of research ideas. I have planned and implemented projects in Geographic Analytics, GeoAI, spatial decision support and environmental health. One central area of my work is the investigation of geographical correlations between environmental exposure and health outcomes. This has included formulating research questions, coordinating cooperation between academic and clinical partners, harmonising health and environmental datasets, developing spatial exposure models, conducting exploratory spatial analyses and communicating results through maps, presentations, reports and scientific publications.
I am also conducting a structured literature analysis on Geographic Analytics and geovisual decision support.The ongoing work examines how spatial problems, analytical methods, visualisations and decision-supportfunctions are addressed in existing research and aims to identify methodological and translational research gaps.
I have experience coordinating interdisciplinary student and research teams, structuring work packages, allocating tasks, monitoring project progress and supervising project-based work. In research management and funding, I contribute to identifying suitable funding opportunities, interpreting calls for proposals and assessing their relevance and eligibility requirements. I have supported the development of project concepts, research objectives, methodologies, work packages, deliverables, timelines and budgets. My experience also includes evaluating project feasibility, expected impact and alignment with funding requirements, preparing application materials and communicating with project partners, funding organisations and institutional research-support units.
