Degree name:
Dr. rer. nat.
Area of expertise:
Medical and Health Sciences
Skills:
I have extensive experience in initiating, designing, and leading interdisciplinary research projects and work packages at both national and international levels. In these roles, I have been responsible for developing project ideas, designing study protocols (including randomized controlled trials), overseeing implementation, and ensuring the effective dissemination of results. Building on this project leadership experience, I have developed strong competencies in research management and administration, particularly in proposal development, the acquisition of third-party funding, as well as reporting and evaluation processes. My research focuses on advancing innovative approaches in public health nutrition, particularly in the areas of digital food environments and the management of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and osteoarthritis.
In addition to managing and implementing research projects, I am actively engaged in research evaluation as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals. Complementing my research activities, I have strong expertise in integrating research and teaching, including curriculum development and the mentoring of junior researchers. My engagement extends beyond project and teaching activities to institutional and professional governance. I am a member of the board of my university and serve as a board member of the Association for Nutritional Scientists Austria, enabling me to contribute to strategic development processes at both institutional and national levels.
